One of the best experiences in Indonesia

We joined the One day Komodo trip and it was absolutely amazing. The day started when we got picked up near our hotel and driven to the boat. It was a medium sized speedboat with comfortable seats for about 25/30 people I’d say. We started the day with a hike to the top of Padar Island, which is so worth it. Even in the morning it was already pretty hot in the sun so take your time going up, but once you’re on the top the views are breathtaking. Then we headed to Pink beach which is a beautiful beach with pink sand made pink by small coral pieces, pretty cool. After that we headed for the main attraction Komodo Island, where we trekked for a bit through the woods/jungle where the guides found the infamous Komodo dragons for us. Plenty of time for photos of the animals and just observe them, absolutely amazing. Once done here we went to a few snorkeling spots where we saw turtles and plenty of different fish. Unfortunately no manta rays but that’s nature, you can’t predict it.
The whole day the staff looked after us with utmost care and they were super friendly. We did a lot in the one day but because of the boat being a fast speedboat, nothing felt rushed. They even let us decide where we wanted to spent the most time out of all the stops. All in all a great experience that you don’t want to miss if you’re on the east side of Indonesia.
